After weeks of speculation, Gucci has announced its new creative director. Sabato De Sarno will succeed Alessandro Michele, who exited in November last year. De Sarno joins Gucci from Valentino where he was director of men's and women's collections and will present his first collection in September.

Kering and Gucci announced that Sabato De Sarno will assume the role of Creative Director for the House. De Sarno will present his debut runway collection at Milan Women's Fashion Week in September 2023.
In his new role, De Sarno will lead the House's Design Studio reporting to Marco Bizzarri , President and CEO of Gucci , with the responsibility for defining and expressing the House's creative vision across the women's, men's, leather goods, accessories and lifestyle collections.

Gucci has found a successor for Alessandro Michele: Sabato De Sarno takes on the creative direction of the Italian fashion house.
De Sarno will report directly to Gucci CEO Marco Bizzarri, Gucci and parent company Kering announced on Saturday. As creative director, he will be responsible for “defining and executing the creative vision of the house” overseeing the women's and men's collections, leather goods, accessories and lifestyle.

Kering has officially announced its new creative director for Gucci , naming Sabato De Sarno, to lead the Italian luxury house. The decision comes a little over two months after Alessandro Michele made his official exit at Gucci. With many years of experience working at various luxury houses, De Sarno has been known to be a close associate of Valentino 's Pierpaolo Piccioli , having joined the house since 2009 where he held the position of fashion director, after previously working at Prada and Dolce & Gabbana.
